Mason Decoy Factory 1889-1924
Seven of these painted eye teal were found in Frankfort, Michigan, which is a small port town on Lake Michigan. Four blue wing and three green wing decoys were all weighted and rigged for hunting, although I doubt they were ever used.
The area along the West coast of Michigan from Leland to Muskegon have four to five major rivers dumping into the big lake. These same rivers adjoin low marshes which is a meca for puddle ducks.
